Native Corn Starch

Starch is a carbohydrate used as a functional ingredient in human nutrition to provide energy for the brain and muscles. It can be found in various cereals, vegetables, pasta, breads, rice, and potatoes. We at Hungrana unaltered corn for wet-milling to produce native corn starch, a white or cream-coloured, homogeneous powder, free of any foreign taste or smell, which can be consumed by people with celiac disease.

It is used in the food industry for manufacturing baked goods, confectionary products, sweets, instant meals, dairy products, meat products, snack products, and gluten-free products.

It is also used in manufacturing pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, compound feed and pet food. It is an important base material for paper mills where it is used both for surface gluing and for gluing corrugated board layers. In the chemical industry, it is one of the components for the production of degradable plastics.

Starch milk

This product is an aqueous suspension of corn starch, produced for use in the paper industry through corn wet-milling.

It is used as a dehydrant aid in paper mills, as well as for surface treatment and to reduce absorbency. Subtracting (drying) the moisture content of starch milk produces a powdery form of native corn starch.
